About
Water & Power is an artist-run space providing accessible arts programming, exhibitions, performances, and workshops that support artists and help foster community.
As an artist-led queer collective, we work to create accessible performance opportunities for BIPOC LGBTQIA+ community of artists, with a focus on those who have aged out of traditional institutional resources or never had access to them to begin with. We give residencies to emerging, low-income, and system-impacted artists facing intersectional barriers to presenting work.
Our educational programming focuses on peer-led learning from working artists, grassroots artist education, and hands-on workshops.
